The timber is first cut to the appropriate size and then split using a powerful hydraulic firewood processor
The timber is first cut to the appropriate size and then split using powerful hydraulic firewood processors.
The cut and split logs are then left outdoors to season. The logs are left for at least 6 months, usually much longer
The logs are moved a number of times throughout the seasoning period (1-2years) to ensure that when they are delivered they will burn to their maximum potential.
After seasoning outdoors, the wood is tipped over a grate to remove small pieces, as well as miscellaneous debris
The logs are windrowed to improve the seasoning process.
The process of putting the wood through the grate is vital to ensure only the top quality firewood is then placed inside to dry, and complete the seasoning process
Logs are then stored in an open dutch barn to further improve their quality.
